Russia has concentrated 300 boats in Kherson region: is there a threat of crossing the Dnipro.
The occupiers are buying boats in Kherson region
About 300 boats have been concentrated by the occupiers in the Kherson region. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are ready for any events, said the spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn, during a telethon.
He also noted that the presence of boats does not indicate Russia's readiness for a serious offensive with a crossing of the Dnipro near Kherson.
It cannot be said that this is some serious threat. To launch an offensive, it is necessary to transport combat equipment. For this, it is necessary to equip the crossing, have some means. And three hundred boats - five assault troops will sit on each. How will they carry out these crossings? - he explained.
Today, this area remains under the control of Ukrainian forces.
The enemy is trying to cling to the island zone. There are about five to seven assaults daily, but they are unsuccessful. Losses in personnel and watercraft are a result of these attempts, - Voloshyn reported.
According to Voloshyn, the tactics of Russian troops are more reminiscent of reconnaissance-search actions. However, crossing the Dnipro is a complex operation requiring extensive preparation, which is difficult to conceal from modern reconnaissance means.
Currently, the war is in its 1017th day. In the past day, 170 combat clashes were recorded. Ukrainian defenders continue to defend the territory and strike at the enemy, who is trying to advance deeper into our territory.
The enemy carried out two missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine and used 599 suicide drones. There were also more than 3,200 shellings of our troops' positions and settlements.
Specifically, the Pokrovsk and Kurakhiv directions were the most 'hot' in the past day.
