Year Considered Missing in Action. Cameraman Ihor Zakharov Killed on the Frontline.
Cameraman Ihor Zakharov was killed in battles for Ukraine after being missing for a year. The information about his death was reported by colleague Nataliya Malyarchuk from the Institute of Mass Information.
Zakharov worked for the TV channels "Ukraine" and "1+1" and served in the National Guard. He disappeared a year ago, but recently an examination confirmed his death.
Malyarchuk recalls that Zakharov was a smiling person who knew how to defuse any conflict. She never saw him depressed. He had problems, but he always took a philosophical approach to life. He was a true optimist.
The deceased is survived by his wife and daughter.
According to the Institute of Mass Information, Ihor Zakharov became the 88th media worker to have died as a result of Russia's aggression.
Additionally, another journalist, Bohdan Zatula, who worked for the publication "Novyny.Live" before being drafted into the army, was also killed in the war.
It should be noted that 147 Ukrainian scientists who fought or died in the occupied territories have been killed as a result of Russia's aggression.
