In Russia's second most populous city, Saint Petersburg, labor migrants continue to face discrimination. They have been banned from working in yet another important sector of city life.
This was reported by Russian media.Russian authorities continue to systematically push migrants out of their previously common jobs. This pressure traditionally begins in the northern capital of the Russian Federation, Saint Petersburg. Thus, migrants in this city have been banned from working as couriers. The ban has already been signed by the governor of Saint Petersburg, Alexander Beglov. This ban applies to the following types of activities related to courier delivery: courier activities, activities involving the courier delivery of various types of transport, home food delivery activities and other courier activities. The authorities could only claim in their defense that very few migrants work in courier positions, so no one would notice the ban. It is also worth mentioning that migrants have already been banned from working as drivers of city taxis. Such measures are being taken to combat immigration in the country.
