Russians intensified attacks in the Oleksandrivsk direction: what the Vovcha River hinders them.
According to inkorr.com: Russian troops have intensified their attacks in the Oleksandrivsk direction, but their activity has not yet reached the intensity observed a month ago. The chief of communications of the 37th separate marine brigade, Denis Bobkov, noted that the enemy uses small assault groups in an attempt to break through between the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but a significant barrier for them is the Vovcha River.
Obstacle for the enemy
'The enemy moves, in principle, the same way, with 2-3 servicemen. Specifically, in our area of responsibility, the Vovcha River, which flows through both Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, significantly hinders them. It is a small river, but a great obstacle for the Russians,' - explained Bobkov.
In addition, the occupiers actively use drones, such as UAVs of the 'Molniya' type for FPV drones, and organize ambushes on roads using loitering munitions.
Despite the efforts of the Russian military to increase pressure on Ukrainian positions, they find it difficult to advance due to natural obstacles, particularly the Vovcha River.
Comments from military leadership and descriptions of the equipment used by the occupiers emphasize the importance of natural barriers in the combat zone. Despite attempts to ramp up attacks, the Vovcha River remains a significant hindrance for the Russian forces.
When such a situation arises, it is important to understand that natural obstacles can significantly affect the tactical decisions of both sides. In the case of the Vovcha River, it proves that even small water barriers can considerably complicate the offensive actions of the enemy. Ukrainian forces continue to strengthen their positions, hoping for stability along the front in this direction.
