Russians are patrolling the Black Sea waters with aviation - Navy of Ukraine.
The situation in the waters of the Black and Azov Seas remains unchanged. Russia keeps its flotilla away from Ukrainian defenses, but uses its aviation to patrol the western and southern coasts of Crimea, reported the Navy of Ukraine spokesperson, Captain 3rd Rank Dmytro Pletenchuk.
“The enemy continues to stay away from the Azov Sea, and in fact, all the Time, its fleet, which can be considered combat-ready, remains at the base in Novorossiysk. At the sea guard post, they keep a submarine that is a carrier of cruise missiles, but currently, it is used for guarding places where other ships are located,” said the spokesperson, according to Ukrinform.
According to Pletenchuk, Russian aviation continues to conduct reconnaissance and patrol the airspace.
“They are trying to protect the waters adjacent to the temporarily occupied Crimea in this way. They are most active on the western and southern coasts,” reported the spokesperson.
Answering a question about whether the occupiers are restoring command posts on the territory of Crimea to return the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation there, Pletenchuk said:
“Even if this information is confirmed, it may only indicate that they want to increase our reconnaissance effort, so in the future, it will be easier for us to strike. Because Crimea is located much closer to the mainland than Novorossiysk.”
