Russians are storming Zaporizhzhia through the destroyed dam: how the Armed Forces of Ukraine are stopping the enemy.
According to inkorr.com: Russian troops continue to attempt to advance in the Zaporizhzhia region, using the reservoir they destroyed in 2023. Despite the water body being overgrown with dense vegetation, Ukrainian forces skillfully repel the aggressor's attacks.
The enemy is trying to bypass our positions in the settlements of Plavni and Prymorske to flank us from the west. However, we calculate them and destroy them.
The General Staff also pays attention to cleanup efforts near the islands of Velyki Kuchuhury, where attempts by Russian troops to establish themselves were recorded.
The struggle for settlements in eastern Zaporizhzhia region
The settlements of Uspenivka and Novomykolaivka remain under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, despite being in the 'grey zone'. Ukrainian units inflict defeats on the enemy's attempts to secure positions there, maintaining control of the situation.
The enemy is trying to introduce its reinforcement groups, sending assault units there, but this is unsuccessful as we also destroy them. We do not allow them to enter.
The Ukrainian forces are actively defending their positions and inflicting significant losses on the enemy, preventing them from gaining an advantage in this direction.
The situation in the Zaporizhzhia region remains tense. The Ukrainian Armed Forces demonstrate resilience and courage, continuing to oppose the enemy's attempts to establish themselves on their territories. The defense strategy in this region is crucial for maintaining control over the terrain and preventing further escalation of the conflict.
