Assault Operations in Donetsk Oblast

According to UATV: Russian forces continue their aggressive assault operations in the Donetsk region, particularly along the Sloviansk axis. On July 23, Ukrainian forces reported 19 enemy attacks, highlighting the dire situation on the ground. The occupiers are attempting to push deeper into Ukrainian territory and seize control of key elevated positions that are critical for military operations.

The following areas experienced direct assaults:

• Kryva Luka
• Zakotne
• Riznykivka
• Pyskunivka
• Mykolaivka
• Rai-Oleksandrivka

Of particular strategic importance are the dominant heights near Rai-Oleksandrivka, which rise 165–187 meters above sea level. Controlling this vantage point could significantly influence the trajectory of the conflict in the region.

Frontline Situation

In addition to the Sloviansk sector, Russian forces launched 15 attacks on the Lyman front. The situation there remains tense. Mykhailo Drapatyi stated,

“The situation requires an immediate operational resolution.”
