Russians changed the tactics of Shahed drone attacks: drones fly in groups at an altitude of 3 km
The Russians have changed their tactics in the use of drones in their attacks, now utilizing large groups of drones that fly at an altitude of over 3 kilometers. This complicates their interception by Ukrainian air defense, as it requires sufficient means to target this large number of drones. The temporary commander of the UAV Interceptor Battery of the Anti-Aircraft Missile Artillery Division, Denis Horodnychiy, stated: 'The Shaheds have significantly increased their altitude, they are entering at higher corridors – at an altitude of more than 3 km. Another characteristic feature is that they are coming in groups, flying in a 'swarm' of 6-8 Shaheds. And there aren't enough resources to simultaneously work on a group target.'Last night, Ukrainian air defense shot down 61 enemy drones at 12 locations. The situation in the conflict is exacerbated by the fact that the Russians are preparing to repel an attack in Crimea, but Ukraine is responding by creating new air defense systems.
