Russian actor Evgeny Shishov killed during battles
Russian actor Evgeny Shishov, who publicly supported Putin's regime, was killed during battles in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. This was reported by Russian media.
It is noted that the 42-year-old actor and Putin supporter voluntarily went to war in February 2024. In recent weeks, he participated in battles in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation and on August 18, he was seriously injured by shrapnel. He was taken to a hospital where he died.
Evgeny Shishov became famous in 19 Russian TV series.
It is also worth noting that on August 7, one of the so-called “war correspondents” - the propagandist of the Russian state television and radio company Evgeny Poddubny - was seriously injured in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.
The death of the Russian propagandist was initially reported by Russian State Duma deputy Mikhail Delyagin. Later he deleted his post and wrote: “Let them report officially”.
Ukraine controls Russian territory
The Armed Forces of Ukraine control more than 1250 square kilometers of the Russian Federation's territory and 92 settlements in the Kursk region. President Zelensky stated that the Russian border opposite the Sumy region is practically cleared of the Russian army.
“The strengthening of our positions, stabilization of designated areas, and replenishment of exchange funds for Ukraine continues. This operation is our biggest investment in the process of freeing Ukrainians from Russian captivity - we have already freed the largest number of Russian prisoners in one operation, and this is an important result,” Zelensky said.
