A Russian became the European Karate Champion
Russian athlete Ernest Sharafutdinov defeated Montenegrin Nemanja Mikulic in the final of the under 75 kg category at the European Karate Championship. During his preparation for the tournament, he trained in Croatia but visited the annexed Crimea with his coach without permission from Ukraine.
According to a Ukrainian portal, Sharafutdinov bypassed customs and border control during his visit to the annexed peninsula. This situation drew the attention of the Russian Karate Federation, but they ignored the fact of the law violation.
The karateka and his coach entered the occupied territory of the peninsula without passing customs and border control, according to Ukrainian laws.
Sharafutdinov also liked a post supporting Russian aggression on Instagram.
News is also coming from the Mini-Football League of Omsk, where football player Sergey Olenyev was killed as a result of hostilities. Russian media have not yet disclosed more details about this incident.
Furthermore, information has emerged from the futsal and football leagues of Crimea regarding the liquidation of player Alexey Yablonsky, who was from Sevastopol and played for Ukrainian clubs. After the annexation of the peninsula, the athlete transitioned to play in the occupied territory.
