Intelligence confirmed the damage to the Tu-22M3 aircraft at the Russian airfield.

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine confirmed that the strategic bomber-missile carrier Tu-22M3 was damaged at the Russian airfield "Olenya". This was reported by GUR representative Andriy Yusov.

«We do not comment on what and where, but the supreme commander noted the long range, it is clear that the direction here is not difficult to guess. As for the fact: yes, we confirm the fact of the hit. Something hit somewhere. And yes, we can confirm the fact of the hit and damage to the strategic bomber», – said Andriy Yusov.

GUR noted that the damage to such aircraft is of great importance, as Russia currently has no ability to produce new equipment of this type.

«This is what the Soviet Union could produce, and that is why they try to hide them so far away», – explained Andriy Yusov.

On the night and morning of July 27, Ukrainian intelligence carried out a drone attack on an oil refinery in Ryazan and three military airfields of the Russian Federation: "Olenya" in the Murmansk region, an airfield in Engels in the Saratov region and "Dyagilevo" in the Ryazan region.

As reported, the use of poor-quality bearings in the wheels led to the malfunction and suspension of operation of five Il-76 aircraft.

By the way, a Su-34 fighter jet crashed in the Volgograd region during a scheduled training flight.
