Russia wants to host Euro 2032: why it is possible despite sanctions.
Russia is trying to host Euro 2032
According to The Sun: Russia intends to seize the opportunity to host Euro 2032, even though it will not be able to participate in the competition. The 2018 world champions stated their readiness to organize the tournament after Italy, given concerns about the state of its stadiums.
Euro 2032 is planned to be held in Italy and Turkey, however, the infrastructure situation in Italy raises concerns.
“We are ready to take on the organization of the tournament if such a need arises”
The infrastructure problems in Italy make some experts consider the possibility of relocating part of the competition. If Italy cannot provide an adequate level of preparation, persistent applications from Russia may become a topic of discussion at the international level. This raises additional questions about the political and sporting aspects of organizing a major tournament under such conditions.
