Ryan Moore’s £1MILLION mad dash to ride in Britain and Ireland on the same day in races less than two hours apart.
According to The Sun: Ryan Moore plans to make an impressive sprint from Britain to Ireland to take part in races in both countries on the same day - with less than a two-hour gap.
He is set to start in the St Leger at Doncaster at 3:40 PM on Saturday, September 13.
PAThen he needs to make it to Leopardstown racecourse near Dublin to compete in the Irish Champion Stakes at 5:30 PM.
This scenario is possible for the leading jockey of Coolmore, as key racecourses in Ireland coincide with the final classic races of the season in Britain.
Moore is already used to quick flights around the world, as the demand for his services among horse owners is very high.
In 2018, he made a similar sprint: winning at the St Leger at 3:35 PM, and later making it to the Matron Stakes at 5:25 PM in Ireland thanks to a helicopter.
Possible Race Participants
This year, either Scandinavia or the two-time Derby winner Lambourn may compete at Doncaster.
The Goodwood Cup winner Scandinavia is given odds of 5-4, despite being the earlier favorite.
Trainer O'Brien has confirmed that the colt Justify, who has quickly risen in the Ballydoyle rankings this summer, may compete against his big star.
Lambourn has become the favorite with odds of 4 after an unremarkable showing at the Great Voltigeur at York, which his trainer considered just a stroll.
Irish Championship
O'Brien and Coolmore plan for Moore to return to Ireland to compete against the Coral-Eclipse winner Delacroix in the Irish Champion Stakes.
He will compete against the winner of the Juddmonte from John and Tedi Gosden - Ombudsman at 5:30 PM.
A win in this year's Group 1 is estimated at an impressive £615,000 - which could bring Moore prize money of £1 million for the day, justifying his 250-mile journey.
If Coolmore's second-string jockey Wayne Lordan had not received a huge fine and ban recently, Moore might not have made this trip.
However, Derby winner Lordan has been suspended for the entire Doncaster festival and all champions' weekend in Ireland due to a rules violation with a whip at Goodwood last week.
This opens the opportunity for Moore to make a quick flight from Britain to Ireland - thanks to the helicopter, he can avoid traffic jams.
Overall, Moore's plans demonstrate his unwavering determination and professionalism in the world of horse racing. These competitions are expected to be significant for the jockey and the Coolmore team, as the chance to win substantial prizes always encourages new challenges and records.
