Samsung launches mass production of memory chips for computers with artificial intelligence.
Samsung began production of a new SSD for computers with artificial intelligence
Samsung Electronics announced on Friday the start of mass production of its new solid-state drive (SSD), which is the best in the industry and optimal for use in powerful AI PCs. This is reported by Yonhap.
Samsung's PM9E1 solid-state drive features the highest performance and largest capacity in its class, as it is based on its own 5-nanometer controller and eighth-generation V-NAND technology.
According to the company, the PM9E1 provides powerful performance and energy efficiency, making it the best option for computers with artificial intelligence. Compared to previous models, the PM9E1 has significant improvements in all key characteristics.
According to the company, the PM9E1 offers up to 4 TB of disk space, 50% increased energy efficiency, and a sequential read speed of up to 14,500 MB/s, making it the best solution for computers with artificial intelligence.
Samsung plans to expand its SSD offerings for global PC manufacturers with the start of PM9E1 production, as well as release consumer products based on this drive to take a leading position in the market.
“Our PM9E1, which has a 5-nanometer controller, is the most energy-efficient and productive in the industry, as confirmed by our key partners,” said Bae Yong Cheol, Executive Vice President of Samsung for memory product planning.
In parallel news, OpenAI chief Sam Altman expressed the opinion that humanity will soon face the emergence of general intelligence, but this technological development will lead not to a catastrophic future, but to an era of comprehensive prosperity.
Finally, artificial intelligence is also capable of creating original versions of Vladimir Putin's death. Using the Pika labs web platform, a video was created in which the Russian leader dies in various unusual ways.
