New Investor in Manchester United: Deal at Final Stage.
Turki Al-Sheikh Comments on Manchester United Sale
According to The Sun: Turki Al-Sheikh from Saudi Arabia ironically commented on Manchester United's owners, stating that the club is on the 'front' of a sale.
The Saudi boxing manager reported that he has received information about the interest of a new investor in the club.
GettyAl-Sheikh, who is 44 years old, shared the news with his 7.2 million social media followers. He expressed hope that the deal will be completed soon, and the 'Red Devils' will have a new investor.
“The best news I heard today is that Manchester United is now at the forefront of completing a deal for a new investor. I hope he is better than the previous owners.”
His post on X attracted attention, garnering nearly TWO MILLION views. Fans of the club were actively commenting on the potential changes in the club.
- One of them wrote: “What?!”
- Another commented: “I hope this is true.”
- The third noted: “I know this is 1000% fake, but I still believe in it.”

Sir Jim Ratcliffe became a minor investor in the 'Red Devils' in February 2024. It is known that he significantly reduced non-playing staff despite large financial investments in the team, including the purchase of Benjamin Sesko for £74 million and Bryan Mbeumo for £71 million.
Ratcliffe is also involved in changing the head coach: replacing Erik ten Hag with Ruben Amorim, who is currently experiencing a tough start to the season.

Meanwhile, Al-Sheikh recently raised questions about the potential acquisition of clubs in English football, but denied rumors of purchasing Bristol City, calling them 'false' on social media.
Former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan claims that Al-Sheikh is indeed interested in two other clubs from the second division – Millwall and Southampton. However, Millwall denies that the club is for sale and has refuted reports of any negotiations.
The sale of Manchester United has caused a significant response among fans and experts. If we believe Al-Sheikh's words, the club may soon enter a new era with new investors, which is undoubtedly important for its development. Whether the new investor can improve the situation at the club remains to be seen as their actions unfold.
