Saudi Arabia denies rumors of reducing investment in boxing.
Denial from Saudi Arabia
According to The Sun: Turki Alalshikh, a well-known figure in boxing in Saudi Arabia, commented on rumors of a possible reduction in spending on this sport. Boxing in the country has changed significantly over the past six years, thanks to substantial funding from the Saudi Public Investment Fund, which has allowed for the regular organization of large boxing matches.
“There are no grounds to believe that our investments in boxing will decrease,' emphasized Alalshikh.
According to Alalshikh, despite any statements, Saudi Arabia will continue to support the development of boxing by investing significant funds in new events and professional fights.
This statement highlights Saudi Arabia's intentions to remain an active player in the global boxing arena. The country will continue to integrate into the international boxing community, hoping to attract even more attention to its events.
