Special Operations Unit Conducts Drone Raids

According to UATV: Drones operated by the 'Alpha' Special Operations Center of Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) have targeted Russian military facilities in occupied Crimea. The primary target was the production workshops of the 'Yevpatoria Aviation Repair Plant' JSC. Additionally, strikes hit Russian military positions in the settlement of Pushkino.

The operation resulted in significant damage to several key military assets. Specifically, the strikes destroyed:

  • Two 'Pantsir-S2' anti-aircraft missile and gun systems;
  • An Iranian-made Mohajer-6 unmanned aerial vehicle on a flight field;
  • A ZU-23 anti-aircraft gun mounted on a truck;
  • Two fuel tanker trucks;
  • A 'Forpost' unmanned aerial vehicle ground control station.

Strategic Impact of the Attacks

In a separate but related action, the Russian frigate 'Admiral Essen' was struck on the night of March 2nd. These operations form part of Ukraine's ongoing campaign to degrade Russian military capabilities in the Black Sea region. Strikes on repair facilities and air defense systems are intended to disrupt Russia's logistics and force projection from the peninsula, which it annexed in 2014.

This attack demonstrates Ukraine's continued capacity for long-range strikes against high-value targets in occupied territory. The destruction of air defense systems, drones, and support equipment can significantly impair Russia's operational abilities in the region. Such actions are a key component of Ukraine's broader strategy to weaken Russian forces and defend its sovereignty amid the ongoing conflict.
