Oleksiy Sereda became the silver medalist of the World Diving Championships, bringing the only medal to the Ukrainian team, reports the 'Suspilne Sport' portal. The Ukrainian set a new personal record at the world championships, competing in the final of the 10-meter diving event at the tournament in Singapore. Sereda already has five medals in World Cup stages, including two second and two third places.
How Sereda performed
The first dive set the 19-year-old Ukrainian in ninth place overall. The second dive was the most technically difficult for the athlete. It was successful and allowed him to break into the top four. After the fifth dive, it became clear that the Ukrainian managed to surpass many competitors and finish in second place.
