Critical situation at Sheffield Wednesday
According to The Sun: Sheffield Wednesday coach Henrik Pedersen has approached the EFL with a request to allow the club to sign new players due to an injury crisis. Currently, the team has only five experienced first-team players left, as goalkeeper Peirce Charles sustained an injury during a 2-0 defeat in the FA Cup match against Brentford.
It is also known that Dominic Iorfa withdrew from the game before kick-off.
“We are in a difficult situation and need urgent help to restore the team,” said Pedersen.
The club hopes for a quick resolution to the problem to be able to compete on the pitch again. In the current situation, it is important to find a solution that will not only fill the squad gaps but also bring the team back to competing for results in the championship.
