Sibiga explained Ukraine's position on the upcoming elections in the USA.
Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga stated that Ukraine is confident in the support of the United States regardless of the outcome of the presidential elections.
According to Suspilne, during a joint press conference with the German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock in Kyiv, Sibiga emphasized that Ukraine builds close allied relations with the president chosen by the American society.
"We are confident in the bilateral support of the USA, as well as the support of the people. This war is not only about Ukraine, but also about restoring the world order based on the norms of international law," Sibiga stated.
According to him, as of August 31, 2024, the USA has provided military assistance to Ukraine amounting to 56.8 billion euros, while the total value of aid from European states amounts to 54.61 billion euros.
In turn, Annalena Baerbock emphasized the importance of the consolidated efforts of the international community in the face of uncertainty regarding the outcome of the American elections.
"No matter how the elections in the USA end, we must continue to invest in the protection of Ukraine, as this is also an investment in our own protection," Baerbock emphasized.
Let's recall, earlier Sibiga met with the Secretary-General of the Arab League — they discussed the Formula of Peace.
