Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga announced that the project of preparing a Ukrainian military unit on the territory of Poland will soon move to a practical stage. This was announced at a press conference in Kyiv with his Polish counterpart Radoslaw Sikorski.
Ukraine and Poland have agreed on joint efforts to prepare a Ukrainian military unit, which will consist of Ukrainian volunteers living in Poland. The Ministry of Defense is now in the final stages of preparation. "Since this is a sensitive issue, once the necessary preparatory measures are completed, this project will move to a practical stage," Sybiga noted.
Sikorski confirmed Poland's readiness to train the Ukrainian brigade but did not disclose details due to the threat of Russian sabotage. "We cannot talk about all the details in order not to give Russia the opportunity to carry out sabotage acts, which are already taking place in Poland," Sikorski emphasized.
