Who receives funds among the relatives of the deceased serviceman
One-time financial assistance is received by individuals specified in the serviceman's personal order. For example, minor, juvenile, adult non-working children, non-working widows (widowers), non-working parents of the deceased person.
- In the absence of a personal order, various categories of individuals, including children, widows or widowers, parents, grandchildren, and others, have the right to receive assistance.
What are the deadlines for receiving funds
The total amount of financial assistance to the families of deceased servicemen is 15 million hryvnias, which is paid in stages. The first payment amounts to 1/5 of the total sum and must be transferred within five working days from the moment the funds are received. The remaining amount is paid over 40 months.
Where to apply for assistance
Relatives of deceased servicemen need to contact the appropriate authorities, depending on where the defender served.
President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law that provides for financial compensation for military personnel for unused vacation in the event of dismissal. Compensation will also be received by the relatives of military personnel in the event of their death.
