Who Will Be Removed from Military Registration After the Cancellation of Defense Ministry Order No. 342.
Military Registration Procedures in Ukraine Undergoing Changes
According to Novyny.live: Ukraine's military registration system is shifting following the revocation of Ministry of Defense Order No. 342, originally issued in 2006. That order previously governed the removal of individuals with limited fitness or criminal convictions from the rolls. With Order No. 342 now void, registration processes are evolving amid the ongoing full-scale war launched by Russia and the associated mobilization drive.
Updating Military Records Takes Priority
The old rules no longer apply for delisting citizens deemed partially fit or those with criminal records. This highlights the pressing need to update military registration data given the current national crisis. As the order is no longer in effect, expert Yuriy Ayvazyan states,
“most likely, you may have been reinstated on military registration.”
These adjustments are part of a broader strategy to maintain the country's mobilization readiness under wartime conditions. Ukraine continues to actively call up reservists to bolster its defense capabilities in the current situation.
The cancellation of Order No. 342 reflects an adaptation of military record-keeping to the new realities imposed by the war with Russia. Keeping registration data current is crucial for ensuring the nation's mobilization capacity and the efficient allocation of defense resources. These changes could affect the pool of eligible service members and their preparedness for duty amid a prolonged conflict.
