The level of trust in Zelensky sharply increased in December: data from a new KMIS survey.
According to ТСН: The level of trust among Ukrainians in President Volodymyr Zelensky demonstrates a positive trend, especially at the beginning of December.
According to the latest survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KMIS), currently 61% of Ukrainians trust President Volodymyr Zelensky, while 32% express distrust. Thus, the trust-distrust balance stands at +29%, which is close to the figures recorded at the beginning of October.
Rapid rise at the beginning of December
KMIS notes that the trust indicators in the president are quite dynamic, and significant changes occurred in recent weeks:
November (26-30 November): President Zelensky was supported by 49% of respondents.
December (1-13 December): the level of trust increased to 63%.
Peak (8-13 December): during the last week of the survey (8-13 December), the trust index reached 65%.
These data indicate a significant increase in support for the president at the beginning of December, whereas at the end of November, the level of trust was significantly lower.
The survey was conducted from November 26 to December 13, 2025, during which 547 respondents were interviewed.
Zelensky proposed a compromise for peace and informed what Ukraine is willing to give up.
The President emphasized that Ukraine can temporarily postpone its aspirations to join NATO, but this is only possible if it receives reliable security guarantees from the USA.
These statements by the President, along with the increase in the level of trust, indicate an intensification of Ukraine's diplomatic efforts in seeking guaranteed support from international partners. The situation in foreign policy, in particular, requires the country to approach its strategic goals with caution. The time when Ukraine can fully realize its ambitions depends on external political circumstances and the success of negotiations on security.
