How many percent of Ukrainians trust Zelensky: poll results.
According to the National Democratic Institute (NDI) poll, 45% of Ukrainians trust the government and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
The poll shows that trust in the government and President Zelensky remains high compared to previous polls. After the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, trust in them sharply increased from 18% in December 2021 to 45% and has stabilized at this level.
According to the poll results, 91% of Ukrainians trust the Armed Forces of Ukraine, while no respondents expressed distrust in the army.
It was also found that 72% of Ukrainians believe that elections should be held after the war ends.
In addition, most Ukrainians have a negative attitude towards Russia and its residents. 80% of respondents have negative associations when they hear the words "Russia" and "ordinary residents of Russia." Only 6% have a neutral or positive opinion, and 14% have no opinion on this matter.
Most Ukrainians also believe that it is Time for official negotiations with Russia. However, there is a minimum condition for concluding a peace agreement - the liberation of Ukraine from Russian troops according to the borders of 1991.
The poll showed that most people (76%) believe that Putin allows peace only on his terms. The same applies to the average indicator of the population of Western Ukraine (75%). It is noted that residents of central and eastern regions are somewhat less inclined to this opinion (84% and 73% respectively).
Advisor to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak stated that Ukraine is ready to convey its proposals to Russia through third countries, but this requires serious preparation.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg emphasized that the aggressive behavior of the Kremlin indicates that the mistakes of the Minsk agreements must not be repeated.
