10 years without Kuzma Skryabin: how the family is doing and what happened to the traffic accident case.

On Sunday, August 17, the famous Ukrainian singer, frontman of the band 'Skryabin', Andriy Kuzmenko, would have turned 57 years old. Ten years ago he died in a car accident, but he continues to live on in his songs and in the hearts of many Ukrainians.

What is known about Kuzma Skryabin

Andriy Kuzmenko was born on August 17, 1968, in the town of Sambir in Lviv Oblast. The future singer's mother was a music teacher, and his father was an engineer. From an early age, the boy was interested in music: he graduated from music school with a focus on piano and created his own punk band in his teenage years, performing at school discos.

After finishing school, Andriy trained as a dentist, but his love for music prevailed, and in 1989 the band 'Skryabin' was formed.

In 1994, the performer married artist Svitlana Babiichuk, and three years later, the couple welcomed their daughter Maria-Barbara.

Together with Natalia Mohyliovska, Andriy Kuzmenko hosted the TV show 'Chance' starting from 2003. Besides his music career, he traveled extensively, was passionate about sports, and even became a master in biathlon. In 2006, he published his autobiography 'I, Victory, and Berlin'. In 2008, Kuzma created the group 'Singing Underwear', and in 2009 he became a producer for the band DZIDZIO.

Since 2014, Skryabin actively assisted soldiers in the ATO zone.

The musician's life was cut short on February 2, 2015, around seven in the morning. His car collided with a milk truck near Kryvyi Rih. Police reported that the singer's car entered the oncoming lane on a curved section of the road, resulting in the collision. The musician died at the scene. His passenger was hospitalized.

According to the artist's colleagues, he was a skilled driver. After the accident, a witness, whom the journalists found, claimed that the accident was staged and that another car had boxed Kuzma's vehicle in, preventing him from avoiding a collision with the milk truck, but this version was not confirmed by the police — the case was closed.

It should be noted that Andriy Kuzmenko's daughter Maria-Barbara is already 27 years old. The girl works in the field of cosmetology and has become a dermatologist.
