Sky Sports signed a new deal with NFL
According to The Sun: Sky Sports announced a significant deal with the NFL just days before the new season begins. This is an important step for the platform.
GettyUnder the new three-year deal, Sky Sports will be able to broadcast more NFL games, which will increase their coverage by 50%. The collaboration with the NFL has lasted over 30 years.
The platform plans to showcase the most exciting games of the season, including an exclusive game every Sunday at 6:00 PM and another at 9:00 PM.
Sky will also take over the broadcast of three games on Thanksgiving, as well as all playoffs, Pro Bowls, and the Super Bowl live.
The popular NFL Redzone show will remain on air.
This deal marks a new phase in the history of the NFL on the platform and entails broadcasting games not only in London but also in Europe, notably debuting in Dublin (Ireland) and Madrid (Spain).
London will host three NFL games this season: two at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and one at Wembley. The game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Pittsburgh Steelers will take place at Croke Park in Dublin.

He added:
“With more games than ever before, we are excited to offer our customers even more opportunities and continue to provide fans with world-class broadcasts.”
Gerrit Meyer, NFL International director, also commented on the deal:
“The UK will remain a priority market for the NFL on a global level as we seek to grow our fan base and promote the game at all levels worldwide.”
He emphasized:
“Sky Sports has become a crucial element in our NFL growth story in the UK, helping us reach new audiences and provide the best NFL content, and we are delighted to continue our partnership.”
This deal opens new opportunities for the NFL in the UK and Europe, highlighting the growing interest in American football. The focus is not only on expanding broadcasts but also on engaging new fans through unique games in European cities. With this approach, the NFL aims to increase its popularity among diverse audiences and emphasize the importance of sporting events on a global scale.
