Shmyhal named three conditions for ending the war: what needs to happen

According to inkorr.com: Ukrainian Minister of Defense Denys Shmyhal believes that achieving peace is possible only with a strong army, sufficient weapons stockpiles, and effective sanctions against the enemy.

“We must create conditions under which Putin will be forced to sit at the negotiating table,”
he emphasized during the 'Yalta European Strategy' meeting.

Priorities of the Ministry of Defense

Shmyhal also outlined the main priorities of the Ministry of Defense:

  • preserving the lives of military personnel by developing FPV drones, robotic systems, and artillery shells;
  • protection of airspace - implementing air defense systems and interceptor drones;
  • long-range strike capabilities - production and scaling of drones and long-range missiles.

Creating a Kill Zone and developing innovations

The Minister of Defense stressed the importance of preventing potential aggressions and developing new defense technologies. To this end, a Kill Zone is being formed – a new line of drones that covers an area from 10 to 30 km.

An innovation center has been established in Kyiv with funding from the EU and Ukraine, which promotes the development of new technologies and supports startups in the defense sector. There are also plans to create companies and joint ventures in EU countries and beyond.

“We are ready to share our experience and technologies, to create companies and joint ventures in EU countries and beyond. I have invited foreign companies to join projects and invest in Ukrainian developments,”

the Minister of Defense of Ukraine added.

During the 'Yalta European Strategy' meeting, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine again emphasized the need for a strong army and the priorities of the Ministry of Defense in the development of innovations in the defense sector.

These initiatives reflect Ukraine's systemic approach to strengthening its defense capabilities and readiness to cooperate with international partners. The attraction of new technologies and investments can significantly impact the country's defense capability in the long term.
