The strike by the Ukrainian Defense Forces on the "Marinovka" airbase in Russia caused serious damage to important infrastructure and equipment. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom.
According to intelligence data, the strike resulted in the destruction of 4 aircraft shelters, damage to 3 other shelters, as well as the destruction of an antenna radome, auxiliary buildings, and open storage facilities.
Attack on Kalach-na-Donu
Recall that on the night of August 22, the Russian city of Kalach-na-Donu was attacked by drones. The outskirts of the city were rocked by a series of explosions, after which the airfield caught fire.
Subsequently, it was revealed that the SBU together with the Special Operations Forces struck warehouses holding KABs and fuel at the "Marinovka" airbase in Russia. This airfield was used for bombing the frontline in Ukraine.
According to open sources, reconnaissance aircraft Su-24MR and possibly Su-34 fighters were based at the airbase.
