Artificial intelligence is proving to be better at programming

According to many influential leaders of technology companies, artificial intelligence surpasses humans in programming skills. Sam Altman, the head of OpenAI, states that the most promising skill becomes the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools, rather than programming itself.

Altman notes that when he finished school, the most important thing for him was the ability to program. But now he believes that using AI tools is quite sufficient.

According to Altman, artificial intelligence significantly automates the programming process, already around 50%. He sees AI training as a new version of learning programming.

Leaders of other major tech companies also agree with this. According to forecasts from Anthropic's CEO Dario Amodei, within the next year, artificial intelligence will be able to fully replace programmers in programming. Representatives of Meta also announced the development of neural networks that can generate a large part of the code for Meta's programs.

Altman believes that at the initial stage, every programmer will be able to increase productivity using AI tools. However, in the future, the development of artificial intelligence may reduce the demand for programmers, especially when systems emerge that could independently create complex programs.

Nevertheless, OpenAI continues to hire programmers, as currently, artificial intelligence in this field is still not effective.

Film industry workers are calling for a relaxation of rules regarding artificial intelligence, but many specialists support limiting its use.
