During a press conference, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk announced the company's plans to launch the first unmanned missions to Mars in two years. The main goal of these missions is to test the possibility of successful and safe landing of spacecraft on Mars' surface. If successful, the company plans to send the first manned missions to Mars four years after that.
Elon Musk noted that humanity must master interstellar travel, otherwise it faces extinction in the future due to the Sun's expansion or a collision with an asteroid. He emphasized the need to create a spacefaring civilization that can survive and build a new future for humanity.
