Russian Special Services Preparing to Stage War Crimes in Kursk Region: SBU Statement.
Russian special services want to exploit the situation in the Kursk region to accuse Ukraine's Defense Forces of war crimes. This was reported by the SBU.
«To achieve this, the Russian side creates and spreads fakes and disinformation that have nothing to do with reality. These enemy special operations are primarily linked to the inability to effectively counteract the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces», noted the Security Service.
According to the SBU, Russian special services may soon intensify the staging of crimes, particularly against the civilian population of the Kursk region, to accuse the Ukrainian side.
«The SBU warns that such attempts will be futile and will not affect the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the opinion of our state's international partners. The Defense Forces of Ukraine have already demonstrated to the world that they adhere to the rules and customs of warfare. This applies to both the treatment of Russian prisoners of war and the civilian population. Ukrainian military personnel are tirelessly bringing Ukraine’s Victory closer, and no enemy disinformation operations will stop them», concluded the statement.
It was previously stated that the reports spread by Russian propaganda about an attempt to assassinate the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, using explosives, are fake.
