According to The Sun: The singers of the Spice Girls expressed their condolences in a joint post regarding the death of their choreographer Paul Roberts, who passed away after a battle with cancer.

Paul Roberts worked as a choreographer for many stars and gained popularity for creating energetic dance numbers for performances on tours and in music videos for artists such as the Spice Girls, One Direction, and Girls Aloud.

In the post, the girls noted that Paul had become a close friend, sharing a photo from their return to the stage in 2019.

“@_paul_roberts was an integral part of our tour in 2019. His creativity, passion, and joy for life were evident during our shows. Besides being incredibly talented, Paul was just a wonderful person. He radiated happiness and positivity. We all felt lucky to know him and have friendships that went beyond the tour. We deeply mourn his loss and send love to his husband @thephilgriffin and all of Paul's family and friends during this tough time. We will miss him dearly.”

Paul's husband, Phil, quickly responded to the condolences, stating: “Paul loved every moment with you and still loves you from that place, and will always be grateful. Thank you for always keeping him close.”

He also added: “This speaks from his heart, but your words: ‘Viva forever, I’ll be waiting. Everlasting, like the sun. Live forever, for the moment. Ever searching for the one’.”

Unfortunately, Paul Roberts passed away on Friday evening surrounded by loved ones.

“Last night, after a brave battle with cancer, Paul peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by family. His exit, like his life, was filled with dignity. Rest in peace.”

Sincere tributes are coming in for Paul from colleagues and friends. Strictly star Leighton Williams wrote: 'One of the kindest and most beautiful souls. It was an honor to know and work with you, Paul. Sleep peacefully, beautiful person.’

Louis Tomlinson's sister, Lottie, left a comment with a heart emoji, while Ian 'H' Watkins from Steps wrote: “Devastated. What an incredible person Paul was. Sending lots of love.”

Kimberly Walsh added: “This is the saddest news, I’m so sorry @thephilgriffin. Paul was truly special. Sending you all my love.”

Paul also worked with Harry Styles on the music video for the song 'Treat People With Kindness,' which earned him a VMA for Best Choreography in 2021.
