Remembering Yehor Basiuk: A Life Cut Short
According to Novyny.live: Yehor Basiuk, a member of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), lost his life while carrying out a combat operation in late May 2023. He was just 23 years old. The tragedy occurred when the vehicle he was traveling in came under enemy fire.
His Background and Service
Born on February 10, 2004, in Vinnytsia, Basiuk held the rank of Candidate Master of Sports before beginning his military service. In 2025, he voluntarily enlisted in Ukraine’s Defense Forces and adopted the call sign 'Paradox.' For his courage and valor, he was posthumously promoted to the rank of Senior Sergeant and awarded the Medal 'For Courage.'
A farewell ceremony for Basiuk took place at the Alley of Glory in Vinnytsia’s Sabarove Cemetery. He is survived by:

- two sisters
- two brothers
They continue to honor the memory of a hero who gave his life for his country.
Basiuk’s death underscores the immense sacrifices made by Ukrainian service members in the fight for national independence.
