Veterans in Odesa Region Receive Housing Certificates

According to Novyny.live: During a working visit, Ukraine's First Deputy Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko announced the allocation of 421.6 million hryvnias to provide housing for 158 individuals. This funding is part of a national program supporting veterans and their families. In the Odesa region, 87 housing certificates have already been distributed to disabled veterans and families of fallen soldiers.

The allocated subvention will cover housing needs for 158 veterans and relatives of fallen Ukrainian defenders. Among the recipients, 38 families from the city of Odesa are now able to improve their living conditions. This initiative reflects a broader state effort to address the housing challenges faced by those who served.

“Supporting veterans and their families remains one of the state’s top priorities.”

Oleh Kiper, a representative of state veterans policy, added: “Caring for those who defended Ukraine and supporting the families of our heroes—including through housing—is a key focus of state veterans policy.”

The program aims not only to provide material aid but also to enhance the quality of life for veterans and their loved ones. The distribution of these certificates marks a significant step in implementing the government’s social policy for veterans.

Social Impact of the Initiative

This initiative is part of a broader government strategy to support veterans in the post-war period. Securing housing for veterans and families of the fallen carries substantial social weight, as it aids their reintegration into society and improves their overall well-being. It also underscores Ukraine’s commitment to its defenders and their families—a commitment that has become especially critical amid the ongoing war and the growing need to support those who have served the nation.
