Google co-founder demands 60-hour workweek for one category of workers.

Google co-founder Sergey Brin proposes to establish a 60-hour workweek and daily office presence. This was reported by the publication Evrim Ağacı, citing Brin's statement.
In his statement, Sergey Brin stated that employees working with artificial intelligence should spend no less than 60 hours in the office per week (instead of the usual 40) and be present at work every weekday. He believes this is the most optimal level of productivity. Brin emphasized that employees working less are not only ineffective but also negatively affect other employees. His goal is to win Google the competition in artificial intelligence, which requires maximum employee presence. Undoubtedly, the competition has intensified significantly.
Labor market experts in Western countries did not embrace this idea with understanding. They believe not everyone can withstand such a schedule without burnout. The optimal work regime, in their opinion, should be 45-50 hours a week. Professor of management John Trugakas from the University of Toronto noted that what matters more is not the number of hours but the effectiveness of work.
It is worth noting that Google Maps have combined phone navigation with the chatbot Gemini so that drivers can communicate with the artificial intelligence assistant. This new feature is designed to simplify trip planning and find information about routes.
