According to ТСН: The United States has recently increased its military presence in the Caribbean. In particular, this involves aircraft from special operations units and transport planes with military equipment.

Movement of Aviation

According to information from open sources, on Monday, at least ten CV-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft were dispatched from Cannon Air Force Base in New Mexico to the region. These aircraft are used by U.S. Special Operations Forces for rapid troop deployments.

Supply of Personnel

Additionally, heavy transport aircraft C-17 arrived in Puerto Rico, which took off from Fort Stewart and Fort Campbell military bases. As clarified by a U.S. official, they delivered personnel and equipment, though details about the contents have not been disclosed.

Specialization of Units

The 27th Special Operations Wing is stationed at Cannon, while at Fort Campbell, there is the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment and the 101st Airborne Division. These units are considered among the best in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Their specialization involves conducting operations in high-risk areas, including covert insertion and extraction of personnel, as well as aviation and combat support for special missions.

This activation of U.S. military forces may indicate a strengthening of strategic positions in the region and preparation for potential crisis situations. Observers believe that such actions could affect stability in the Caribbean, given the current geopolitical challenges.
