Let me remind you that Warsaw is strengthening its borders with Russia and Belarus as part of the 'Eastern Shield' project. The budget for the project, which is expected to be completed by 2028, amounts to 10 billion zlotys or 2.55 billion dollars. The execution is financed by the European Union to protect against threats from Belarus and Russia.
It should be noted that in response to threats from Russia and Belarus, the Polish authorities are tightening their measures. A fence over 185 km long and 5 meters high has already been erected on the border with Belarus. It is equipped with night vision cameras, motion sensors, and other electronics. Construction of a system of defensive structures is also underway.
