In Ukraine, the list of individuals who can obtain war disability status has been expanded.
The government has expanded the eligibility for obtaining disability status for residents of liberated Ukrainian territories affected by the war. The changes were made by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and broaden the opportunity to receive this status. These changes concern the civilian population affected by explosive objects. The new provisions cover not only residents of areas controlled by Ukraine but also individuals who have suffered as a result of Russia's armed aggression in temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories that have already been liberated by Ukrainian forces.
Now, to receive social guarantees, people affected in temporarily occupied territories can apply to medical commissions to establish causal connections. This is an important step in providing social support to residents of these territories.
