Undisputed world champion Oleksandr Usyk has requested a delay from the WBO regarding the mandatory defense of his title. The Ukrainian was given 30 days for a fight with Joseph Parker, but the deadline is soon approaching.
Usyk reported a back injury, which arose from tough fights. This injury forced him to approach the WBO with a request to postpone the negotiation deadline. The decision to hold the fight was made at the end of July, but negotiations have not started, and Usyk reported the injury on July 14.
