Gathering of actors from other popular shows
Recently, another cult sitcom gathered its cast for a new project.
Scrubs became a favorite show for many viewers after its debut in 2001.
After 15 years, the original main cast reunited for a table read of their upcoming remake at ABC.
The extended meeting included the original creator of the series Bill Lawrence and the stars of the original cast - Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, Zach Braff, Judy Reyes, and John C. McGinley.
The new series will follow J.D. Dorian (Braff) and Christopher Turk (Faison) as they team up again after a long break.
Scrubs ended in 2010, but last year, the show's creator, Lawrence, hinted that a return is inevitable.
In a conversation with The Independent, he noted:
“We talked about it. In real life, we all spend time together, but everyone is so talented that they are constantly busy.”
“We really started to entertain the idea of returning because we feel we have a lot of stories to tell.”
“People in the medical community are heroes right now. They definitely aren't doing it for the money.”
Such initiatives indicate that nostalgia for successful 90s shows continues to inspire actors and creators. We hope that new projects will bring fans of old series new emotions and experiences. The significance of such gatherings in the artistic community is hard to overestimate, as they remind us of how important these works were in the lives of many generations.
