The head coach of the Ukrainian youth team, Unai Melgosa, has determined the squad for the friendly match against Spain ahead of Euro-2025 (U-21). The game will take place on June 6 in Alcorcón at the 'Santo Domingo Stadium'. After this, the team will head to Slovakia, where they will play in the final tournament of Euro-2025 (U-21) against Denmark, Finland, and the Netherlands.
25 players have been invited to the gathering, but the official roster for Euro-2025 (U-21) will include 23 players. The composition of the Ukrainian youth team will include players from various clubs, such as 'Dynamo' Kyiv, 'Oleksandriya', 'Girona' (Spain), and others.
As reported, 'Shakhtar' defeated 'Dynamo' and won the Cup of Ukraine 2024/2025.
In the final of the Cup of Ukraine, 'Shakhtar' overcame 'Dynamo' in a penalty shootout with a score of 6:5. The game ended in a tie, and the winner was determined by penalties, where Oleksandr Karavayev missed the decisive goal. It was an exciting battle for the trophy, where the 'miners' proved to be stronger than the 'Dynamo' players.
