Farewell to Stepan Giga: details of the ceremony in Lviv.

Farewell details

The farewell ceremony will take place on Sunday, December 14, in Lviv. It is scheduled to start at 16:00 at the Garrison Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul. At 19:00, the parastas will be performed, and the farewell will last until 23:00.

“With a heavy heart, we inform you about the farewell to the People's Artist of Ukraine Stepan Giga. The farewell will take place on Sunday, December 14, starting at 16:00 at the Garrison Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul (Lviv, Theatre Street, 11). At 19:00, the parastas will be performed. The farewell will last until 23:00,” — wrote the team and relatives.

Funeral service

The funeral is scheduled for Monday, December 15, at 14:00 in the same church. Around 15:00, a citywide farewell to the Maestro will take place in Rynok Square. Stepan Giga will be buried at the 75th field of Lychakiv Cemetery. The artist's team noted that he will always remain a symbol of Ukrainian song.

It is known that the performer had been in a Lviv hospital for a long time and was undergoing rehabilitation after a serious operation. Ukrainian stars have already expressed their condolences regarding the loss of the 66-year-old Maestro.
