President of Finland: Russia and Ukraine are closer to peace than ever.
According to ТСН: Negotiations between Russia and Ukraine are nearing the conclusion of a peace agreement.
Finland's President Alexander Stubb stated this on Fox News.
In his opinion, the parties today are closer to reaching an agreement than ever before.
"So we are almost at the goal, but the hardest 5% still remain,"
he added.
Assessing the situation at the front, the Finnish leader emphasized that the occupiers do not have significant successes. This indicates that the aggressor is unable to achieve its strategic goals, as allies and the US regularly mention.
Alexander Stubb also supported the idea of increasing economic pressure on Moscow in case of refusal to reach a peaceful resolution.
"Existing restrictions are already showing their effectiveness, and the Russian economy is in a critical state,"
he noted.
We remind that J.D. Vance noted that after consultations between Russia and the United States in Miami, there was a breakthrough in negotiations regarding Ukraine.
The global community is now closely monitoring the developments in the negotiations. It is important that the next steps lead to lasting peace in the region, which requires consensus and will from all participants in the process. At the same time, economic pressure on Russia remains an important tool in achieving this stable resolution of the conflict.
