The court extended the preventive measure for serviceman Serhiy Hnezdilov, who left his unit without permission. The prosecutor requested to keep the serviceman in custody, while the lawyer asked to replace detention with house arrest.
Hnezdilov will remain in the pre-trial detention center until 2025.

Serviceman Serhiy Hnezdilov stated that he left the unit without permission to draw attention to the absence of established service terms and the obligation to defend the state. The case has divided society.
The State Bureau of Investigation detained Hnezdilov and noted that his act is immoral and demoralizes society.
Law on the release of servicemen adopted
The Verkhovna Rada adopted a law exempting servicemen from criminal liability for the first unauthorized departure from the unit and desertion.
