Ukrainian basketball player Maksym Shulha was drafted into the NBA
Maksym Shulha, a 23-year-old Ukrainian basketball player, was selected in the NBA draft by the Orlando Magic with the 57th pick. However, his rights were traded to the Boston Celtics. Noted ESPN analyst Jonathan Givony reported that Shulha will sign a contract with the Celtics and will play mainly for the team's main roster and their G-League affiliate.
Maksym Shulha's successful season
During his time with the Virginia Commonwealth Rams, Maksym Shulha showcased his talent, averaging 15 points per game this season, grabbing 5.9 rebounds, and having a 38.7% shooting accuracy from beyond the arc. He became the tenth Ukrainian to be drafted into the NBA, following Svyatoslav Mykhailiuk, who signed with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2018.
