Shulha and his team became the winners of the Atlantic-10 NCAA conference playoff.


Ukrainian basketball player Maksym Shulha won the Atlantic 10 NCAA conference playoff and will participate in 'March Madness'. This was reported by 'Hlavkom' with reference to the FBU.
Shulha, who was recognized as the best player of the year in the Atlantic-10 conference after the regular championship, led VCU to victory in the final against the team 'George Mason' with a score of 68:63.
The Ukrainian guard scored 18 points in the game (2/3 two-pointers, 2/6 three-pointers, 8/9 free throws) and also made 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal.
VCU received the 11th seed in the East (45th overall) and will play against Brigham Young University - BYU Cougars in the first round of 'March Madness' on March 20.
What is 'March Madness'?
'March madness' is the playoff of the NCAA student league in the USA. These games are so significant that even NBA matches are overshadowed.
Maksym Shulha was also recognized as the best player of the year in the Atlantic-10 conference and included in the first conference team.
Shulha's team won the conference, winning 15 matches out of 18. Overall, VCU achieved 25 wins and 6 losses in the season.
Shulha was the team's best player with an average of 15.5 points per game, assists (3.8 per game) and steals (1.9 per game). He also ranked third in the number of steals and fourth in the assist-to-turnover ratio.
Shulha was named the conference's player of the week twice and scored 20+ points in eight games this season.
Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk, a Ukrainian guard, received an NBA championship ring for the title won with Boston last season.
This happened before the regular NBA championship game between 'Utah' and 'Boston Celtics'.
The award ceremony took place on the big screen, and Sviatoslav was presented with the ring by the 'Celtics' players.
Mykhailiuk participated in half of the regular season games. He averaged 4.0 points, 1.2 rebounds, and had a 38.9% shooting accuracy from the field. His brightest game came in the final game before the playoffs, where he scored 26 points and had 5 rebounds and 5 assists.
'Finally, the Time has come for me to receive the ring. I saw the awarding of other players, watched the ceremony at the beginning of the season, but for me personally - it was very important to be awarded. It was great, it’s one of those rare moments given to few players. It was a fantastic event, and I’m happy to be a part of it,' said Mykhailiuk.
