Saudi investor refuses Usyk's fight with Parker: who will be the new opponent for the Ukrainian
The main investor of Saudi Arabia in boxing, Turki Al-Sheikh, has refused the title fight for the absolute heavyweight championship between Oleksandr Usyk and Joseph Parker. Instead, the sheikh is ready to pay for the Ukrainian's match against Moses Itauma, a 20-year-old boxer from Great Britain.

While Usyk is contemplating, Itauma is preparing for the fight against his first serious opponent in his career.

In Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on August 16, a boxing evening will take place, organized by Turki together with British promoters. The main event of the evening will be a heavyweight match between Itauma and Dillian Whyte.

Itauma will receive a fee of $2.5 million and a possible bonus for PPV sales. In the event of Itauma's victory, he may be arranged a fight with the winner of the pair Filip Hrgovic - David Adeleye or with Joseph Parker for the WBO title. If the fight with Usyk takes place, it will only be in 2026.

After the Saudi investor's refusal of the fight between Usyk and Parker, boxing fans' attention shifts to the match between Moses Itauma and Dillian Whyte, which promises to be an interesting event. The young British boxer may get a unique opportunity to showcase his talent and earn a chance for a WBO heavyweight title fight.
