On the second day of the Ukrainian Biathlon Championship, the men's super sprint took place. 25 biathletes qualified for the mass start final. This was reported by 'Hlavkom' referencing 'Suspilne Sport'.

In the super sprint final, representatives of the Ukrainian national team at the World Cup participated: Anton Dudchenko and Taras Lesyuk. In addition to them, the race was attended by Bohdan Borkovsky, Serhiy Suprun, Stepan Kinas, Roman Borovyk, and Oleksandr Ponomarenko.

After the first shooting, a group of five main contenders for victory formed, with everyone within ten seconds of each other. The closest to victory were Stepan Kinas, Anton Dudchenko, and Bohdan Borkovsky.

After the second shooting, Kinas increased his lead over Dudchenko and Borkovsky by seven seconds. However, due to mistakes in the third shooting, Kinas lost his lead, and Borkovsky became the winner.

The most intense battle was in the last lap of the race, where the main favorites for victory were Borkovsky and Dudchenko, who came out of the last shooting with just three seconds difference. The photo finish determined the winner - it was Borkovsky, who edged Dudchenko by only 0.1 seconds!

'Basically, we went to the last descent together. Considering the handicap, maybe Bohdan had better skis. I tried to work fully on even ground, but I fell a bit short. I didn't pay attention to Bohdan; I worked alone and watched my feet. The track was soft, and I was afraid of falling if I started looking around. So I don't know what Bohdan was doing,' Dudchenko said after the race.
