Sweden proposed an interesting alternative to arms supply to Ukraine.
Sweden wants to start producing weapons in Ukraine instead of directly supplying its equipment and weaponry. This was announced at a press conference by Defense Minister Paul Johnson. He noted that this policy change aims to create a kind of safeguard against possible attempts by the Kremlin to intimidate Sweden. It involves the presence of civilian personnel and production on Ukrainian territory. This will help strengthen support for Ukraine without losses for Sweden. In addition, this news coincided with the conclusion of a defense cooperation agreement between Sweden and the USA, which gives American forces the right to use Swedish military facilities.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Syrskyi also discussed Ukraine's critical needs with US leadership.
